Expanded range of engine
shutdown solenoids now available.
An expanded range of heavy duty,
robust and reliable engine shutdown solenoids are now
available. Both 12v and 24v engine shutdown solenoids are
manufactured by AKEL Ltd and distributed by the ponts in the
UK. The solenoids are employed on industrial diesel engines
both in mobile equipment and stationary applications.
The solenoids have proven themselves
to be very reliable in many after-market applications.

WMC range of diesel engine shutdown solenoids appoints Engine Control Systems as exclusive distributor in South Africa.
The heavy duty WMC shutdown solenoids available in 12v and 24v are used on industrial diesel engines in mobile equipment applications such as earthmoving machinery and off road vehicles and in stationary diesel engine applications such as diesel driven pumps and compressors. The ruggedness of the solenoid’s construction and the operational reliability in the demanding South Africa environment of 24 hour, 7 day a week arduous work ensures repeat orders.

Proven vehicle speed limiting systems for diesel engines are now available in the UK.
The ponts is pleased to confirm that the Vehicle Speed Limiting System, manufactured by Hewitt Industries of California, USA is now available in the UK. The system is easy to install and requires no maintenance. Consisting of only three components, the system is designed to operate on diesel driven vehicles.
The Vehicle Speed Limiting System reduces fuel costs and reduces tyre and brake wear. The system operates by reducing the fuel supply to the injection pump when the speed limit point is reached. The opening of the Pressure Relief Valve regulates the fuel supply pressure, resulting in a gentle yet positive limitation of the vehicle speed.
